BENEFITS

  • Relieve pain or tense in lower back /sciatica
  • Increase blood flow & circulation
  • Improve oxygen levels

INSTRUCTIONS & TIPS

  • This is a similar position you would be in for the lower back alone, but here we focus on your lower back/hips/buttocks region. Position your mat under your body in such a way that it covers both your lower back and buttocks. The mat should be under your buttocks but high enough to cover the lower back. This positioning is usually more comfortable on a bed or a firm couch.
  • Use an acupressure pillow or bend your knees to increase pressure against your lower back. Rest flat on the surface, holding positions for 10 mins and above.
  • Pain in the sciatic area can be relieved by allowing blood to flow freely between the buttocks and lower back. You can shift from one side to the other, back and forth lightly to see increased relief.

BENEFITS

  • Relieve pain or tension in the lower back, thighs and legs
  • Boost circulation to the legs and feet
  • This position is great for providing relaxation during long hours at work

INSTRUCTIONS & TIPS

  • A firm surface is suggested – place the mat on the floor or a hard chair.
  • While sitting on the mat, lean forward and reach for your toes lightly to feel the effects on your thighs. In doing this you can increase the pressure of the mat against the back of your thighs. You may place the pillow under your knees if you find it’s more comfortable.
  • This is an excellent position for providing relaxation after long hours at work. Be sure that you’re used to the sensation before using an Azurai Acupressure Mat at work.
